“Eye on Fashion” stylist competition crowns a winner

The much anticipated “Eye on Fashion” the fashion stylist competition crowned a winner last night in an event celebrated at the Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA) in downtown Tampa.

The winner was Fashion Stylist Amandia Reese Craig. A total of five stylist participated in the competition including Tamy Lugo, Toya Lane, Maurico Mussolini Moore and Desire Figueroa. Amandia is a freelance fashion stylist originally from Alabama but she now resides in Tampa. She won $500 dollars and bragging rights as she became the first winner of this competition that would surely become an annual event.

The night was full of surprises. Starting with a Jazz serenade by Saxophone player Marlon Boone followed by the showcase of the stylist first 3 out of 4 looks.

Judging the competition were Fashion Designer Kimberly Hendrix, Fashion Designer/Stylist Alma Vidovic and Fashion Designer/Stylist Arlene Williams.

In addition to the competition there was a Photography Exhibition by Photographer Leandro Gongora, as well as a fashion show featuring Fashion Designers TallyRenee and Mystic Creations Crochet Wear.

The event was created by Lacey B. Smith the President/Owner of The Fashion Movement, a company based out of Tampa, Florida dedicated to create fashion events in the Tampa Bay area.
