Mary Katrantzou RTW Spring 2013 collection

Mary
Katrantzou was inspired by postage stamps and bank notes from different
countries for her RTW Spring 2013 collection. 

She used
stamps from countries such as Mongolia, Venezuela and Finland, and the
aesthetic elements of international banknotes as the visual fodder for her
collection. 

Her inspirations
were printed on white backgrounds giving the models a clean Silhouette with
bold A-line dresses that made a big statement.

 
Some of
the evening gowns were made from Swarovski crystal-mesh that had been fused to
silk brocade and printed with intricate patterns.
