Chilean Fashion Designer Anicy Manuguian presented her
latest collection at Miami Fashion Week 2013 this past weekend.

Anicy specializes in Pret- a- Porter and handmade knitwear
using natural fibers such as alpaca, pima cotton, natural cotton, wool and
other fine and pure materials.

She has a strong background in Italian design having lived
in Italy for many years and worked for famous designers such as Max Mara,
Vivienne Westwood, Nazareno Gabrielli  and Marina Spadafora just to name a few.

Check out our exclusive interview with Anicy Manuguian and
take a look at some of the pictures from her latest collection below.

1-EFR:
You just showed your most recent collection at Miami Fashion Week 2013, what
was your inspiration for that collection?
AM: I
wanted to create a collection that was commercial but that it was also very
feminine, delicate sensual but elegant at the same time. I design for a woman
that is sophisticated but modern and contemporary. I want women to love my
product and not worry about labels or brands, I want them to wear my clothes
because they are beautiful and because the love my garments.

2-EFR: Why
do you like to work with those particular fibers?
AM: My
collections are a mixture of the past and the future. I want to rescue old
techniques like embroidery and crochet and take them to the next level and to a
more modern concept.

3-EFR:
How would you describe your design style?
AM: Well, I
used to live in Italy (Milan ) for many years and after working for
other designers where I learned a lot,  I
develop my own style which is very pure, with clean lines and very minimalist.
I don’t like things that are too structured, my style is very simple.
