Saks Fifth Avenue in Tampa

The Saks Fifth Avenue store located at The Westshore Plaza Mall in Tampa, Florida will close on May 4.
The upscale department store is closing its doors after 15 years in the Tampa Bay area. Dick’s Sporting Goods will be replacing the luxury retailer.
“It’s always sad to lose a department store obviously, but we’re actually very excited the backfill to that is DICK’S Sporting Goods,” said Westshore general manager Jay Botsch. “It’s a great fit to a very active market that we serve”.
The Tampa Saks will not be having a clearance sale because the store is closing in less than two weeks, instead the merchandise will be transferred to other Saks Fifth locations.
The approximately 105 part-time and full-time employees in Tampa will be transferred to other Saks locations or given severance packages.
