Model Spotlight: Tinder Badhesha

By: Farrah Estrella

Tinder Badhesha

Plus model Tinder Badhesha is breaking barriers in the plus size industry with her tall, curvy figure and exotic look, she is one to watch. Get to know a little bit more about her as we ask her five questions in our exclusive interview with her.

EFR-How long have you
been modeling and how did you get started?
TB-I have been
modeling for a little over 2 years now. The way I got started was a friend of
mine who is a professional photographer was asked by her client to find them a
model, so she submitted my picture among other models and the client loved my look
and chose me; and from that point on I just found photographers and
learned more about the career path of a model and began to build my portfolio
as well as work with more clients until I got signed by an agency.

EFR-Tell us something
that people would be surprise to know about you?
TB-I think something
that people would be surprised to know about me is that I have Hypothyroidism.
It’s an autoimmune disorder where the Thyroid gland does not produce enough of
the Thyroid hormone. I have to take medication for it for the rest of my life;
and if it wasn’t for my family history I wouldn’t have known the symptoms; and
there are millions of people in this country who go under-diagnosed or are
mis-diagnosed so this serves as a public service announcement as well. Get your
Thyroid checked because it is one of those things where if it goes wrong, then
there will be a domino effect on the rest of your body.
EFR-How do you
describe your personal style?
TB-My personal style
is “ECG” Effortless- Chic- Glam; a heavy emphasis on the Effortless.
I feel like whatever your style is it shouldn’t look odd or like you are
trying too hard to be something that you are not; your style should look like
you; whether you’re conservative, or adventurous, or classic, or simple the way
you carry yourself while you are rocking your clothes, accessories, makeup,
hair, whatever should look like you have been rocking those looks for sometime.
I like solids, simple silhouettes because I have a very curvy shape and my
curves will play up anything that is simple. I like to accessorize a lot so
most of my creativity in an outfit comes with the way I accessorize with shoes,
bags, hats, scarves, jewelry and makeup.

EFR-What are your
goals and where do you see yourself in 5 years?
TB-My goals are that I
want to do better, in every way, in 2014 and that is tough because 2013 has
been such a great year for me. I got signed to IPM Model Management this year,
walked in FFFWeek 2013, had an editorial in Plus Model Magazine, booked
national retail clients on both the east and west coast and so much more in
between.
In addition to that I feel that this year, with my modeling career, I
have been blessed to meet so many great and successful people who carry only
positive energy with them and brushed a little of their positive vibes on me;
and I have made new friendships all over this country and have been able to
strengthen the friendships that I have by being able to see my friends who I
would not be able to see otherwise with this career. So now I start planning on
how I will top that; and there are a lot of projects that I am a part of, but
I’m not going to dish any details, you all just have to wait and see all that
in in-store for the near future. In regards to where I see myself in 5 years; I
see myself either engaged or married, an established internationally known
model that has a long list of great clients as well as influential projects
that I have been involved in.
Owning my own business and having it be on the
verge of becoming an empire; many great friends all around the world, have a
passport full of stamps from many different countries and continents; endless
amount of wonderful memories of all of my work and travels and the adventures I
have had with people over the years; a second Masters Degree; and an
organization that helps provide music, art, and creative activities for the
children of the future who come from underprivileged backgrounds.

EFR-What is your favorite
quote?
TB-My favorite quote
is “Big Girls need Big Diamonds”- Elizabeth Taylor (AMEN TO THAT!).
