Moschino at Milan Fashion Week 2014

One of the most talked about collections at Milan Fashion Week 2014
that is being held this week in Italy was the collection by American fashion
designer Jeremy Scott for Moschino. The collection was Scott’s debut for Moschino since being named creative director of the label back in October
of last year.

The fast food/pop culture inspired
collection drew inspiration from McDonalds, SpongeBob, Fruit Loops and more.
Celebrities like Katy Perry and Rita Ora, who attended the show, loved it.
Fashion bloggers and critics are split
about the collection; some absolutely love it and others hate it. Some say is
trashy and others say that is Art and that it reminds them of Andy Warhol and
his can soups painting and the fact that he mixed food and Art.
Italian Luxury fashion house Moschino was founded in 1983 by
Franco Moschino who died in 1994. The fashion house has always been known for
its colorful and eccentric designs as well as for its social campaign awareness
since the 1990’s.
The collection is classic Moschino, humorous, with a little bit of
drama and controversy.

For those who were around in the 90’s, you can see
Franco Moschino all over this collection. Perhaps Jeremy wanted to pay homage
to the founder of the label and bring it back to its roots.
What do you guys think? How do you feel about this collection?
Take a look at the pictures below from the show and tell us what you think.
