“Accessories Workshop: Jewelry Making 101” at Haute Accessories Week 20014

By: Farrah Estrella

Hola Estrellitas!!

Today I had
the opportunity to host an “Accessories Workshop: Jewelry Making 101”
in which I taught a group of fashionistas and accessory lovers how to make
jewelry. The workshop was part of
“Haute Accessories Week 2014”, an event that is held every year here
in Tampa.
I had
several goals for the event, the first one of course was for the attendees to
learn how make jewelry. Secondly I wanted everyone to appreciate the craftsmanship
and the work that goes into it and finally to get this type of workshops going
in order for more and more people to get involve in the fashion community.
I think I accomplished
that as the event was very successful. Today everyone went home with a bracelet
that they made themselves, how cool is that!!.=)
I want to
give a Big thanks to Lacey B. Smith founder of The Fashion Movement and
producer of Haute Accessories Week and many other events, for allowing me to be
a part of the experience. I was a designer on the show 2 years ago; the show is
now on its 4th year, time flies.
I hope to host
and attend many more workshops like this in the future.
