Alexander McQueen’s ‘Savage Beauty’ exhibit heading to London in Spring 2015

spring you have one more stop to add to your tourist site seeing schedule.
Alexander McQueen’s exhibit “Savage Beauty” will open in London in March 2015.
The exhibit will make its London debut at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
British born fashion designer
Alexander McQueen died in 2010 after committing suicide at the age of 40, only
days after his mother pass away from cancer. He was found hanging in his home
in London. His legend still lives one. He is considered one of the best
couturiers that has ever lived and even after his death, he is still one of the
most admired fashion designers in the world.
Among his many
accomplishments, he was the head of the Givenchy fashion house from 1996 to
2001, he won the “British Designer of the Year” 4 times, he won a CFDA award
for “Best International Designer of the Year” and was even honored by Queen
Elizabeth II for his contribution to fashion.
The exhibition includes
McQueen’s visionary body of work from his 1992 MA graduate collection to his
unfinished A/W 2010 collection. McQueen was known for his shocking, theatric
and dramatic fashion shows.
The “Savage Beauty”
exhibition broke attendance records (over 600 hundred thousand people saw it)
when it first debuted in 2011 at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. It was
one the most popular exhibitions in the museum’s history to date.
The show is schedule to
run from March 14 to July 19, 2015.
