The #PlusIsEqual campaign features plus size models: Ashley Graham, Precious Victoria Lee, Georgia Pratt, Justine Legault and Sabina Karlsson and wearing the new Lane Bryant/Cacique Fall 2015 collection. The idea behind the campaign is that all women deserve equal representation in advertising and in fashion. The event was emceed by comedian Robin Shaw who got the crowd super excited chanting #plusisequal!!.
Lane Bryant’s CEO Linda Heasley and CMO Brian Beitlet also spoke to the crowd about the importance of the change that the company is trying to promote in the fashion industry and that hopefully someday there won’t be any labels. Brian who has five daughters spoke about how important this campaign is to him personally and said: “Focus changes the world”.
