Schiaparelli Couture Spring 2016

What do vegetables and couture have in
common? Apparently they go well together since that was the inspiration for
Schiaparelli’s latest Spring 2016 couture collection.

According to WWD, designer Bertrand Guyon, now in his
second season as creative director for the Schiaparelli fashion house,
was inspired by the “Surrealist spirit of the house with a
culinary-flavored collection inspired by founder Elsa Schiaparelli and two other art world powerhouses: Gala Dalí and Louise
Bourgeois”.
Ok!!..Tomatoes, onions and even a lobster were printed or embroidered
in some of the fabrics. I am not sure how I feel about this collection but
check out the pictures below and I let you be the judge. What do you guys
think?
