Around Tampa Bay: The Working Women of Tampa Bay State Conference 2016
Hola Estrellitas!! Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the Working Women of Tampa Bay State Conference 2016, that was held at The Straz Center in Downtown Tampa.
This was my very first year attending the conference and I have to say that I had a great time meeting all of those beautiful, talented women and learning a lot from them. I was also a panelist at the conference , along with Dr. Jen Bennett from iBloom and Carolyn Moor from the Modern Wives Club. Our topic was “Creating a Tribe/Following”.
If you have never heard of Working Women of Tampa Bay, it is an amazing organization that helps entrepreneurial women by motivating them, encouraging them and educating them. The networking group offers seminars, workshops and luncheons, featuring diverse like-minded professionals who inspired one another and create opportunities and connections. For a small fee of $120 dollars a year, you can connect with women in business throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Over 300 women attended this yearly event that is in its 4th year and we got a little swag too, not bad!!.
Several motivational speakers shared their wisdom with all us including:Tampa Bay’s own actress Alexis Carra, Deborah Ellinger President & CEO of Ideal Image and Celebrity Brand Stragetist Brandi Kamenar, just to name a few. The Working Women also blessed 3 female entrepenuers with checks of $500 & $1,000 dollars to help them with their small businesses. Mark your calendars for next year’s conference in September, you don’t want to miss this amazing event.
