Hola Estrellitas! I went to the U2 concert this past weeekend at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and it was so much fun. I haven’t been to a concert in many years and what a treat that was. I can cross an item off my bucket list for sure. Bono, The Edge, Larry and Adam play the heck out of the “The Joshua Tree” Album. It is the 30th anniversary of that iconic album and what’s a band to do? A tour of course!.

U2 is one of the biggest rock bands in the world and arguably the biggest Irish band of all time.

With songs like “With or Without You”,“Where the Streets Have No Name” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”, all I could think of was thank God, I knew all of the lyrics so I could sing along. I’m not going to lie guys, it was fun!.

Rain was on the forecast but the concert was “Rain or Shine”, meaning not even a little rain was going to stop U2 fans from attending this historic concert. Lucky for us, it cleared up. The sun came out and there was even a rainbow! how fitting.

Opening the show was the Colorado band OneRepublic who are not too bad themselves. You might remember their big hits “Apologized”“Counting Stars” and “Stop and Stare”, just to name a few. I didn’t realize how many great songs they have and how talented they are. They did great also.

Even though I am a 70s baby, I grew up with MTV in the 80s and the 90s where U2, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, and many other rock bands were in constant rotation on the channel. If you are part of the MTV era, you know what I mean. Bono was a God, U2 was the greatest band of all time and they still are. Part of being succesful is staying relevant and no other band has been able to do that, stay on top for so many years.

Music 30 years ago, did not sound the same as the music of today. Songs back then had meaning, they were timeless. U2’s “The Joshua Tree” album is as relevant today as it was then and those Irish blokes sure can play.

Here are some of the highlights of the show for me:

-The Edge play the guitar, one of the best!
-Bono playing the harmonica.
-When they played “With or Without You”, it may or may have not brought tears to my eyes.
-Amazing backdrop & graphics and can we talk about the 200 ft. TV screen, impressive!.
-I didn’t realize how many”OOOO”” and “OOHOOO’s” U2 songs had until last night, lol.

The only bad thing about the concert at Raymond James Stadium was that they did not use the big screens like they normally do for football games and that was kind of annoying , especially if you were high up in the stadium. I am not sure why they didn’t but I saw online some people complaining about not being able to see the graphics on the backdrop because of where they were sitting. The angle was weird if you were sitting close to the stage on the sides. Other than that, U2 Rocks and the concert was amazing!.

Thank you guys for following my journey. I love sharing my life and crazy adventures with all of you. From birthday parties, to concerts, travel trips, fashion, outfits etc…thank you again for coming along.

Live, Love & Inspire
