Look #7 of 2018: Celebrating National Dress Day
Hola Estrellitas! Happy Monday! I hope that you guys have a great week this week. Today, it’s National Dress Day and of course I had to wear a dress to celebrate it. I felt SOOO sexy in this dress and I also felt like dancing while wearing it. Maybe is the ruffle detail in the front, the cut of the dress or the V-neck, I don’t know, but it was fun to wear it.
This dress comes in 4 different colors: Black, blush pink, hot pink, and teal. I had a hard time choosing which color to wear because I love them all, they are all nice. Now let’s talk about the fit. The fit of this dress is perfection. I’ve said it before and I say it again, Lane Bryant clothes fit me perfectly. I don’t have to hem them or do anything to them, it’s like they are being made for me.
I couldn’t write this post and not talk about the shoes. I love stripes and the style of the sandals is one of my faves, it’s simple and sleek. I have that same style of sandals in a bunch of different colors. They are just very practical and go with almost everything.
Lastly, I watched The Oscars last night and there was a song performed on the show that really touched me and if you haven’t heard it, you must check it out. It’s called “This is Me” from the movie The Greatest Showman. The song has a great message especially in these times that we are living where there is so much bullying (I think we plus size women know a little bit about that). It talks about acceptance, being empowered and it goes something like this:
When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I’m meant to be, this is me
Look out ’cause here I come
And I’m marching on to the beat I drum
I’m not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me.
Live, Love & Inspire
