Monogram Gifts

Hola Estrellitas!! I am a huge fan of personalized gifts. I love monogrammed and custom-made items, I like gifting them and receiving them, of course. Anything that has my name or initials on it, you better believe that I am going buy it. There is something very unique and personal about it. To me, it means that you really put thought into that gift and that you think so highly of the other person, that you would go out of your way to make, buy or order something custom made for them.

To be perfectly honest, I think it comes from being an only child and having an awesome mother. My mom, made sure that I always knew and felt that I was unique and special, from my name to the way she raised me. Everything I am is because of my mother. The values that she instilled in me, I carry with me everywhere I go. My mom was very crafty and I used to tell her that she could make something amazing out of nothing. I remember going into the woods with her one time when I was a little girl, and she grabbed a piece of wood and said she was going to make a flower arrangement. I didn’t know what she meant at the time but when we got home, she painted that wood, added flowers and other trimmings and that old piece of wood looked like a million bucks.

Anyways, Mom would always make things herself to give out to people. From dresses, to flower arrangements, to embroidered towels and napkins. She was very special, kind and had a great gift. The gift of making things. People don’t give out handmade gifts anymore and the best next thing is to buy or order something online. I guess, I am old school and I am feeling nostalgic or those things have value to me.
