Giorgio Armani opened his Armani Privé Fall 2017 Couture  show in Paris this week with several impeccably tailored suits. When you think of Armani, you think of great tailoring, Italian fashion at its best and great suits, for men and women. He is that good. If you know anything about tailored suits then you know what I am talking about. Not only is a great feat to do men suits right but women too! Now that deserves an award.

I was surprised to see hot pink in his collection, not that I mind but he doesn’t really use such bright colors.

The theme of the show was “Mystery” and Armani posted an exclusive behind the scenes look video of the show on Instagram, check it out below.

I have always said that fashion is in the details and that pictures and video never do justice to this type of collections. You must see them in person. It is difficult to capture all the beauty and the details in one picture. From the jewelry, to the headpieces, the makeup, the hair and the clothes, couture is just exquisite.

Before the show, Giorgio Armani revealed that he was dedicating this collection to his friend Franca Sozzani, the late Italian Vogue editor in chief who passed away a few months ago, and her beautiful smile. That might explain the use of a brighter palette by Armani and the theme of mystery, just like Franca. She was bright, elegant and mysterious.
