Designer Becca McCharen-Tran from Chromat brought diversity and curves to New York Fashion Week yesterday when she presented her Spring/Summer 2018 collection.
Chromat has been a pioneer in regularly casting models of all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities, especially plus size models. I might sound like a broken record but with 67{f4f104417c9ad41c3090c48ffbf3737280584246b1c861fa3168a3f2cbe08147} of the women in America being plus size, representation is a must.ย Some of the plus size models that rock the runway for the brand included: Supermodel Emme, Denise Bidot, Kylie Jenner’s BFF Jordyn Woods and Sabina Karlsson, just to name a few.
The Chromat RTW SS18 Collection featured sexy swimsuits, as well as edgy denim and athleisure looks. A few models also wore anti-chafing thigh bands by Bandelettes. I have known of Bandelettes for a while now. This indie brand has been on my radar ever since I first met the owners at Full Figured Fashion Week a few years ago.
