EFR On The Scene at The Curvy Chic Closet 13th Semi-Annual Fashion Show in Portland
Hola Estrellitas! I was in Portland, Oregon this past weekend attending and hosting the 13th Semi-Annual Curvy Chic Closet Fashion Show. It was my first time ever in Portland and I had a great time thanks to my beautiful host and Curvy Chic Closet owner Mrs. Becky Jarvis and her Team.
I have so much to share with you guys so let me get started. First of all, it was a great honor to be the host of this event. In addition to empowering women, this event gives back to the local Portland community. The fashion show benefited 2 amazing charities from Portland, Period and Gung Ho Ministries.
Period is a non-profit group started by a high school student in Oregon to change the conversation about periods which is such a taboo in our society and to provide care to those in need. Gung Ho Ministries, helps veterans financially with rent, utilities, and clothing. Curvy Chic Closet has donated over 20, 000 pounds of donated clothing to them over the past 6 years.
The participating retailers, boutiques and designers included:
1-Lady J
2-Leo Nora Design Studio
3-Curvy Chic Closet Fashions
4-Rosy Cheek
5-Chic Rider Designs
6-Heavenly Bridal Boutique
7-Sweet Spot Skirts
8-Selah Boutique
9-Curvy Diva Parties
I love the diversity of the models, the show had models from different sizes, ages and races. I bought a few amazing pieces at the event that I will be taking pictures with in the next few weeks and I even wore a dress that I found at the Curvy Chic Closet sale for $20 to host the show.
The Curvy Chic Closet Consignment sale is done twice a year, in the Spring and in the Fall. It usually lasts 4 days and they carry clothing from sizes 14 to 34. In addition to clothing, they have jewelry, shoes and other accessories. Visit their website for more details at www.curvychiccloset.com.
Check out a few pictures from the event below. Congratulations and big thanks to Becky Jarvis and her team, I hope to make it to the event again next year.
