Back in March of this year, we shared with you guys the news that Glamour Magazine was collaborating with Lane Bryant on a fashion collection. Well, the first collection was launched at an event in New York City on thursday of last week and we have a special preview for you.

This is very exciting, every month a new collection will launch on the Lane Bryant website. Most of them will focus on work wear, except for the Holiday collection dropping in December. Glamour magazine editor Lauren Chan, who is a former plus size model herself, collaborated with the Lane Bryant design team to create this collections.
Chan told Fashionista.com in an interview: ” It’s been a very collaborative process from start to finish”, she also added: ” We pulled inspiration from the runway, from street style, from women we love. And our first meeting was putting all of that on a board and discussing how to bring it to live”.Β Lauren is having a full circle moment, she was a model for Lane Bryant back in 2014 when they first started doing designer collaborations. The October 2016 Glamour x Lane Bryant collection has a palette of black, white and red. It features 5 classic pieces including: A black jumpsuit, a black leather jacket, a classic white shirt, a red pleated midi skirt and a red and white striped fit & flare shirtdress.
