Hola Estrellitas! Happy Birthday to me! It was my 43rd birthday yesterday and it was a bit of weird one during this Covid-19 pandemic. I tried to keep a sense of normalcy but that’s hard to do when I can’t be around my love ones, such as family, friends etc…I still got dressed up to go nowhere and ate some cake. I wore this colorful dress from Ashley Stewart. It is super bright, and it brought a smile to my face as soon as I saw it. It is sold out, but you can keep an eye on their website in case they re-stock it.
In all this chaos, I am grateful to be alive, healthy and to have people that love me even though we can’t see each other. I am warning you right now, when this is all over, I will be giving out lots of hugs to everyone.
My family did a drive by birthday celebration which have become very popular nowadays during this quarantine since we must maintain social distance. They brought signs and made some noise in my honor; I was so happy to see them even if from a distance. I got to eat some delicious Dominican breakfast courtesy of my Dad and his wife and Dominican cake and pastries.
Shout out to Tampa based bakers Sugarita for my beautiful cake and pastries and to Delicias Nela for the star shaped cookies. Don’t forget to support small businesses during this pandemic, it is a must.
