Actress Reese Witherspoon launched a new line of apparel and home accents called The Draper James Collection, inspired by her Southern heritage exclusively at Nordstrom.
Witherspoon told The Thread in an interview that she founded Draper James to “Honor my Southern heritage and my grandparents. They taught me everything I know about gracious Southern living. From them I learned to dress and act like a lady, to take pride in my home, to reach out to help a neighbor and to always invite everyone in for a visit. I think our collection reflects these values”.

When asked about what Southern style is really like she added: “Southern style is about having confidence and about having fun. Southern women like to look pretty and put together, but we know how to take it down a notch. We’re as comfortable wearing a lacy, feminine dress with strappy sandals as we are with cowboy boots”.
