Monif C. Now Available at Forever 21

Hola Estrellitas! I am super excited to share with you guys the news that plus size indie brand Monif C. is now available for purchase at Forever 21. This is major guys! and we must support her.

Getting an independent brand into a major retail store is not only an amazing thing but it also gives hope to other independent designers to continue to grow and hustle to get to where Monif C. is today.

There are 2 things that in my opinion helped Monif C. get into retail stores. First, the quality of her garments and secondly, the fact that she was never afraid to push the envelope and feature visually plus size models on her campaigns. Every time she had a new collection out, her campaign photos would go viral, attracting new customers and media attention, thus spreading the word about the brand. But those are only a few things, the truth is, she has worked really hard to get to that point (her brand has been around since 2005) and we are thrilled for her. If you are an independent designer and you are reading this, invest money in your campaigns. Pictures matter and if the product is good, it would sell itself.

Based in New York City, Monif C. is known for her colorful prints and island vibes on her swimsuits.

Her clothes are also very contemporary, we can also say that they are always on trend, they are sexy, very chic and sophisticated. For now, we only saw swimwear and cover-ups on the Forever 21 site (ranging in price from $98 to $118 dollars) but we hope that they will add her gorgeous dresses and jumpsuits in the future.
