Marc Jacobs Fall 2018 RTW at NYFW (Photos)
The 1980s vibe is everywhere these days. From music (Bruno Mars), to makeup (Jeremy Scott x MAC) and now in fashion with the Marc Jacobs Fall 2018 RTW collection. Everything was big and exaggerated in the 80s. If you lived through that era than you know that big hair, big jewelry, shoulder pads, and big puffy sleeves were a must. With his Fall 2018 RTW collection, Jacobs played with volume and color. He featured big shoulders, bows, ruffles, and baggy trousers made with heavy fabrics including leather and the models wore a killer black hat that elevated their look. In my opinion, this collection was more Couture than Ready-to Wear.
The models looked like sketches, which is a big compliment for any designer. It means that your looks were brought to live from the pages of your sketchbook and presented flawlessly. This was not one of his most commercial collections but who cares when you are the talk of the town. What a way to close NYFW Marc! Shop for Marc Jacobs on his website at www.marcjacobs.com.
