Hola Estrellitas! I can now say that I have become an expert at packing for travelling after having traveled for almost a month overseas with only one suitcase. I teamed up with Avenue this week to create a weekend getaway mini capsule wardrobe collection and show you guys how to mix and match items, to create a variety of looks and travel light.

I only used 6 items and they were:
-2 tops
-A pair of pants
-A maxi dress
-A pair of sandals
-1 handbag

For look #1, I wore navy pants and a red top. I paired it with a white bag and white sandals. White is a neutral, it goes well with everything and it is great for Spring/Summer. I kept my jewelry minimal, but you can add some colorful earrings or a fun necklace to glam up the look. Neutrals are great to take with you when travelling because they go with everything. Neutrals will be white, black, navy, brown and leopard print.

For Look #2, I wore the same navy pants but this time I added a more elegant blouse. I tried to stay within the same color palette (red, blue, and white) to make it easier to mix and match the clothes.

For look #3, I picked out a maxi dress because they are very versatile, and you can wear them during the day or at night. I also thought that the combination of the bold stripes and the floral border was super cool and different. I must tell you guys that what I love the most about this dress besides the print is the cap sleeves. This dress is also easy to wash, easy to fold and it doesn’t wrinkle. Who likes to iron when they are traveling? Not me!..LOL

One of the reasons why I wanted to do this post is to show you guys that you don’t need a ton of clothes to look great. A few basics pieces will go a long way. For example, the sandals, I wore the same sandals with every look and they looked great with all of them. So, Ladies, pack smart, pack light and I hope these tips help you on your next trip.
