Hola Estrellitas! I am so excited to share this “Outfit of the Day” look with you guys. First of all, it is from the Christian Siriano x Lane Bryant Collection, say what now!!. Christian is a young, high fashion designer who won Project Runway, studied fashion under Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen, just to name a few of his many accomplishments.

I am just thrilled that Lane Bryant is doing designer collaborations and that we (plus size women), can now own a piece of clothing by a designer that only a few years ago, we were only able to admire his designs from afar. Not because many of us couldn’t afford it but because he just didn’t make plus size clothing. The Plus Size industry is a 17 Billion dollar industry (as of last year 2015)  and it will just continue to grow because 67{f4f104417c9ad41c3090c48ffbf3737280584246b1c861fa3168a3f2cbe08147} of American women are plus size now, they are a size 14 or higher. I don’t want people to think that I am advocating obesity. All I am saying is that everyone deserves to wear great clothes regardless of where they are in their weight journey. No matter what size they are, everyone should be able to look properly dressed and feel fabulous. I speak from personal experience, having been every size in the scale from a 4 to a 24.

But enough about that, now let’s talk about this dress. I love cobalt blue, I think it is a beautiful color and super flattering. Fit & flare dresses are my favorite type of dresses because of my shape. I decided to pair it with cobalt blue shoes as well, and I added a tiny little black belt that I had in my closet for a while. I like the monochromatic look. I noticed that Siriano does that a lot with his designs and that was my inspiration. I could have worn black shoes with it but Nah!!..I like to be different. I wore this outfit to Thanksgiving dinner, my family was having a Dominican themed Thanksgiving Party in Orlando and we had a blast.
