Queen Latifah in Christian Siriano at the Princess Grace Awards Gala 2016
Actress and singer Queen Latifah wore a stunning white dress by designer Christian Siriano to the Princess Grace Awards Gala last night in New York City.
The event was hosted by supermodel Naomi Campbell and in addition to the awards, there was a live auction and a performance by Robert Fairchild and Tilar Peck. Queen Latifah, as well as “Hamilton” star Leslie Odom Jr. and choreographer Camille Brown were among the event honorees last night. Latifah, received the Prince Rainier III Award, named after the awards founder and late husband of Princess Grace, for her contribution to the arts.
The Princess Grace Awards Gala was established more than 30 years ago by Prince Rainier III to honor his wife, Grace Kelly’s legacy, the Princess Grace Foundation-USA’s annual gala celebrates the outstanding accomplishments of emerging artists in theater, dance and film in the presence of the Princely Family of Monaco.
Designer Christian Siriano, posted a selfie with Queen Latifah on his Instagram account on Sunday night when she went for her fitting.
The off-the -shoulder white gown Latifah wore, had a beaded frame around her shoulders and neck that accentuated her silhouette. She really lived up to her name and looked like the Queen that she is last night. We love that she paired the dress with only earrings and ring (not too much jewelry) since the dress was heavily beaded on top. Her hair was up in a bun and her makeup was flawless. She had smokey eyes and a nude lip, very chic!!. Perfect styling.
