MMA Fighter Ronda Rousey stars in hair care brand Pantene new campaign “Don’t Hate Because I’m Strong”.

Hair care brand Pantene just named American Mixed Martial Artist (MMA), Judoka and Actress Ronda Rousey, as their new brand ambassador. Rousey, is starring in Pantene’s latest campaign tittled “Don’t Hate Me Because I’m Strong”. Together, they want to show the world that strong women can also be beautiful, because strong is beautiful.

Ronda said this about the collaboration: “I’m fully aware that I might not be the first person people think of to collaborate with a beauty brand,” she also added: “I’ve been called ‘Miss Man’ and ‘savage’ because of my physique, but to me, strength isn’t only about having muscles. It’s about having heart and finding inner confidence, so I’m honored that Pantene asked me to be part of their new campaign that encourages women to break gender barriers, break the glass ceiling and never settle”.

You might remember, for those that are as young as me, that in the 1980s Pantene had a campaign titled ” Don’t Hate Because I’m Beautiful”, well this campaign is sort of a play on words from that campaign. The “Don’t Hate Me Because I’m Strong” campaign aims to highlight that a woman’s power and beauty comes from her strength.
