Spring/Summer 2017 Trend: Embroidered Denim

Hola Estrellitas!! I remember wearing a lot of embroidered denim in the ’90s. Fashion goes in a circle and it always come back around. Embroidered denim is one of those trends that came back around. It was very popular in the ’70s, then it became popular again in the ’90s and now. I love the pop of color on denim, I think it looks great.

Embroidery is also a dying Art. I learned how to embroider when I was younger, while I was living in the Dominican Republic but I think I forgot how to do it by now since I haven’t done it in so long. Nowadays, we have machines that can do all of those intricate designs that we used to do by hand but that artisanal, homemade, colorful look is what makes embroidery so special. Call it old school, old fashion, retro or whatever you want to call it, the truth is, it is still chic.
