Eva Mendes x New York & Company FW’16

Hollywood actress Eva Mendes showcased her latest collection for New York & Company yesterday at a fashion show in New York City. New York is an exciting city to be in anytime of the year but more especially this week, as New York Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow.

The Eva Mendes x New & Company Fall/Winter collection was divine. I am loving the turbans, the rich colors such as burgundy red, black and white. She also used a lot of lace in her collection including lace tights, as well as accessories like chokers, pearls and Mary Jane shoes. The collection looked retro but very feminine and very much Eva. I also like that she used a couple of plus size models, it is always great to see some diversity on the runway.

Another great thing about the collection is that it is available to buy immediately. I remember attending the Christian Siriano x Lane Bryant fashion show a couple of months ago and it was the same way, the collection was available to buy online and in stores right away. I think that’s fantastic, no need to wait. This “See-Now, Buy-Now” is something that I can really get into and more designers should follow this trend. We consumers love it.

Eva also has a new makeup line called CIRCA which is sold exclusively at Walgreens for now but she told WWD in an interview yesterday, that the cosmetics are going to be available in selected New York & Co. stores this month.
