The United States Postal Service (USPS) announced recently that they are going to be honoring the late designer Oscar de La Renta with a series of stamps.

The 11 stamps series is going to feature a black-and-white portrait of the couturier and 10 pictures of details from several of his most exquisite gowns. According to the USPS website “De la Renta‘s innovative designs and close attention to detail elevated American style and brought international attention to New York as a world leader in fashion”. The stamps were designed by Art director Derry Noyes and the portraits were done by the artists Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
