Hola Estrellitas! Last weekend, I drove 45 minutes from Tampa to the HavestMoon Fun Farm in Masaryktown, Florida to pick sunflowers and I had a blast. I have been to a few farms in the past and they are always fun.
Due to Covid-19, they were not selling food and the petting zoo was closed but I still enjoy myself. It is FREE to get into the farm but, you must buy at least $10 worth of flowers, and they are only $2 dollars. Not bad at all!!
I recently learned that sunflowers symbolize adoration, loyalty, and longevity. They are also known as “Happy” flowers, making them the perfect gift to bring joy to someone’s day.
Before you go to the farm, here are a few tips to make your trip to the farm a little better:
1-Wear protective gear such as a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock.
2-Wear comfortable clothes, it is very hot out there.
3-Closed toe shoes are also a must since you will be walking around in the dirt.
Mark your calendars so that you can attend this yearly event next year. The sunflower picking season is usually every year in May. I will never forget since May is my birthday month.
