Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2018 (Photos)
The setting for the Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2018 Show was a classic French garden and it included a fountain, sandy paths, and rose-threaded pergolas. The palette was pastel colors, mostly different shades of pink. I noticed that this time around there weren’t that many accessories complimenting the clothes as we are used to seen in Chanel shows (no jewelry, purses, sunglasses etc…) the models wore only boots and a veil headpiece with a flower on top of their heads that covered half of their faces. Their hands in their pockets most of the time.
Chanel couture shows are always out of this world and this show was no different. Creative Director of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld always goes all out for the shows, transporting you to a different place every time. He told Vogue Magazine that he’d been led by spontaneity to create this collection, without preplanning: “I’m not a marketing person; I don’t know what I’m doing in a way—it’s just a feeling.” he said.
