The MAC x Aaliyah makeup collection is finally a reality, years after fans of the late R&B singer took to Change.org and created a petition asking MAC to release a makeup line commemorating the singer. MAC of course, obliged.
The MAC x Aaliyah Makeup Collection was inspired by Aaliyah’s groundbreaking work in music and film, as well as the colors that she typically wore in her videos, photo shoots, and on the red carpet.
The collection includes a bronzer, an eyeshadow palette, two lip liners, three lipsticks and lipglasses. The price of the items ranges from $17.50 to $32 dollars. A $250 dollars box set that included a bandana and a limited-edition poster of the singer sold out in minutes.
Aaliyah was beautiful, talented, and gone too soon. She died 17 years ago in a Bahamas plane crash at the young age of 22 but her fans are keeping her legacy alive by pushing for this collection.
