Hollywood Actresses Wear All-Black Looks To The 2018 Golden Globes In Protest
The 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards were held tonight at TheΒ Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California and some of the most prominent actresses in the industry wore all-black looks, as a symbol of protest against sexual harassment in Hollywood.
A few months ago, The New York Times broke a story about famed movie producer Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment allegations, and ever since then, dozens of actresses have spoken publicly about their own sexual harassment stories. Weinstein wasn’t the only one, after his story broke, sexual harassment allegations came out against actor Kevin Spacey, film director Brett Ratner, Russell Simmons, and many others.
Among the actresses wearing black tonight were: Eva Longoria, Heidi Klum, Sarah Paulson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jessica Biel, Zoe Kravitz, Kendall Jenner, Samira Wiley, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Chastain, and many, many more. It was a sea of black dresses on the red carpet and let’s just say that you could count with your fingers the amount of people that didn’t wear black, that’s how very few there were.
Some of Hollywood’s leading men also joined in solidarity, including: The Rock, Ryan Seacrest, Ricky Martin, Common, Nick Jonas, Justin Timberlake, Zac Efron, among others.
