Giannina Azar at Dominicana Moda 2016 and her collection “Too much”.
One of my favorite Dominican fashion designers Giannina Azar, presented her latest collection this week during Dominicana Moda 2016. I have been covering this event on my blog for many years now, her collection is the one that I always look forward to seeing every year. She is just an amazing designer and every collection gets better and better.
Giannina’s new collection was titled “Too Much”, it included 55 looks, 15 of them made by her daughter Gabriela Alvarez. All of the looks were handmade in neutral colors such as: Nude, gold, silver and black. Every look was monochromatic and adorned with Swarovski crystals and French lace in silk and chiffon. No detail was left to chance, they even made the shoes!!.
This year, Dominicana Moda gave an award to Dominican top model Lineisy Montero. Lineisy has walked the runway for some of the top fashion houses in the world including: Chanel, Balmain and Versace among others. I can’t wait to attend next year!.
